Sometimes all that’s needed is a service. Colony One offers a conventional pan-type service or we can perform a complete flush of the transmission using the latest unit from BG. These services should also be done as routine maintenance every 30,000 miles. Routine automotive services will help eliminate the need for a major repair.
Transmission Replacements
However, when disaster strikes and internal repairs are needed, our expertly trained Colony One staff will consider all options and discuss them in depth with you. One option we offer is transmission replacement. These replacements can carry up to a 3yr, 100,000 mile warranty. The mileage warranties will vary depending on the type and manufacturer. Our services are turnkey at Colony One, we diagnose the problem, source the parts necessary for the repair, price the total repair, discuss the repair with you, remove the old unit, flush the trans cooler lines, install the unit, clear all trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle.
Transmission Rebuilds
If a replacement unit is not available or you don’t want the added expense of purchasing a new one, Colony One can rebuild your transmission. This service is generally a less expensive alternative, but also carries less of a warranty.
Another option we offer is simply patching up your existing transmission. This option is a good choice when only minimal damage has been done. We can replace your current transmission with one we receive from a salvage yard. Though this option saves you money and time, it is the least desirable of the three. Because we do not know the history of your new unit, we can only offer a minimal warranty.
